What is Food Security?

Food is a part of everyone’s life, it connects us all.  However, issues involving food and food are becoming increasingly complex.  Today we are faced with many food choices, conflicting information about health and diet, limited time for meal preparation and questions about how and where our food is grown.  Some face additional challenges such as living on low income, limited transportation, limited kitchen facilities or limited knowledge and preparation skills.

Who is the Kent Food Security Network?

We are a team of people working with the Kent community Inclusion Network in coordinating , sharing and networking in rural communities by developing, promoting and organizing community  based food security activities aiming towards self-sustainability , by providing continual support and resources to ongoing projects to continue and prosper in community development and self-sustainability

Current Food Actions;
